Get to know the smaller island of the archipelago on the Santorini Volcano day trip. Visit the Volcano, take a dip in the nearby Hot Springs and discover the island of Thirassia, relatively untouched by tourism. You have 2 hours free time here.

What you will do
Getting to the port – A tourist coach will pick you up from your meeting point to take you to Athinios Port, where you will board a traditional wooden 'pirate' vessel.
Visit the Volcano - Your first stop is the island Nea Kameni, the active volcano. Led by an English-speaking guide, you have 60 minutes to explore it. At the top, you will walk among the craters, capturing moments frozen in time from a truly unique perspective. There is a small 2.5€ entrance fee to see the volcano. (paid on the spot).
Swim at Palia Kameni Island, home of the famous hot springs - The boat stays here for 30 minutes during which you may get off (via stairs or by simply splashing into the sea). Swim in the amazing iron-rich waters, heated by underwater volcanic formations.
Enjoying Thirassia Island, across from Santorini - The third stop is Thirasia where you spend 2 hours; ample time to explore the island. Go for a swim or visit the village of Manolas, with just a hike or donkey ride to the top of the cliff. This is a perfect spot to sit in a tavern and enjoy authentic island cuisine.
Disembark at the port of your preference - The final destination is your choice!
Those choosing the 45€ tour sail back to the original starting point and disembark there. A tourist coach will be waiting to take you back to your initial meeting point (Athinios port - Volcano - Hot Springs - Thirasia island).
The 50€ travelers sail back to the original starting point and disembark there. A tourist coach will be waiting to take you to Oia village,where you can do some shopping or admire the spectacular views. After the tour is over (after sunset), these passengers are transferred from Oia back to the initial meeting point. (Athinios port - Volcano - Hot Springs - Thirassia island - Oia by bus).

Know before you go
During the summer months and September, sunscreen, a hat, sun glasses and a bottle of water are essential items to carry with you when visiting the volcano.
Athletic or comfortable flat, walking shoes are required for this hike.
A light jacket, a swimming suit (not white) and a beach towel may come in handy.
