TOP ATTRACTIONS IN SANTORINI
Imerovigli
Imerovigli could be named the “princess” of the island as one of its most chic places after Oia, which could be called the Queen. Imerovigli is very romantic and offers breathtaking views, and for that reason many couples are coming here for their honeymoon. Yet walking around this highest spot of Caldera you can visit Skaros rock or nearby little churches and monastery.
Pyrgos
A castle traditional village of Pyrgos is rather a well-known place for tourists. From the top of the hill where it is located you can observe a half of Santorini as well as never ending vineyards. Lots of stairs lead to imposing white churches and the old houses stand one on the top of the other boarding with tiny souvenir shops and taverns.
Emborio
The village of the locals, Emborio, can boast of the unique architecture, unusual churches and the best preserved Venetian castle on the whole island. Not that much known, it is a little escape from the crowds and an entry to a little fairy tale with tiny houses inside the castle walls. This settlement played a significant role in the history of Santorini and becomes a favourite place of everyone coming here.
Kamari Black Beach
A long, black, pebble and sandy beach is stretching out in the sunrise side of the island. Here, in Kamari, the sea is deeper than behind the mountain, but still attractive for swimming and water sports. You can easily spend the whole lovely day in here attracted by its clean waters winning the Blue Flag. Taverns and coffee shops, located all the way along the beach, are serving you inside and outside offering sun beds, umbrellas, cocktails and food.
Kontochori
Visiting Fira you can also walk through the local village of Kontochori, a surprising little place that can boast of many blue domes, marvelous samples of architecture, colorful churches and impressive sunrises. No shops, no crowds, just a winding path showing you the treasures of local life.
Finikia
When was your last time to visit a fairytale? Driving towards Oia you can easily discover one, and the name is Finikia. Plenty of walking, ups and downs, colors, amazing doors and empty streets are hiding masterpieces of local architecture.
